Bixby wants a permit, and a fence

A Special Event Beverage Permit is required in Bixby for the sale or the consumption of alcohol as part of a special event, beer included. The permit expects a specific area fenced off for dispensing, and the city asks for proof of ABLE, Oklahoma Tax Commission and Tulsa County licences before it issues one. Start that early. It is the one item in this ring that has a queue in front of it. Special Events Guide, page 8.

One state rule covers all eight

Since 1 July 2026, Oklahoma has required that alcohol served on the premises of an event venue be served by someone holding an ABLE licence, and that holds even when you bought the alcohol yourself. Buying it does not make you the server. 37A O.S. Section 2-113(I).
